My husband, Corin and I adopted our baby girl from China in January 2004. I previously worked as an editor for a local production company, so I decided to make a “mini-movie” of our China trip, complete with titles, still photos and music.

It was a Christmas gift to my husband who loved it. I enjoyed creating a video on my own terms and decided to offer my services to other adoptive families. I started Red Thread Stories and over the years learned new techniques to enhance the storytelling.

After a few years of doing strictly adoption movies, I began to realize this service would benefit anyone with a video camera.

Most people don’t do anything with their video once it has been shot. Often times people don't even look at it again. If they do look at the video, they aren't too happy with the resulting footage. There are long spaces of not-so-thrilling footage and uneven camera work.

That's where we come in.

Why We Do What We Do

We know how to make home video stunningly beautiful. Using editing techniques we can take out the zooms, jiggles, and boring parts and create a movie that will let you relive the best moments of your life.

Goal

I started Attic Box Stories as my way to help others share their own family journeys. It's my goal to create a wonderful tale of your adventure for you to share with others, your children, and to archive the memories of your world.
